6-Day Great Rift Valley & Lake Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

  • Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake known for its abundant birdlife and hippos.
  • Arrive at the lodge, check-in, and enjoy lunch by the lakeshore.
  • Afternoon boat safari, where you’ll see hippos, fish eagles, and other bird species.
  • Visit Crescent Island, where you can walk among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes in a serene environment.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park

  • After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to the famous flamingos and rhino sanctuary.
  • Enjoy a game drive, spotting black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffalos, and leopards.
  • Visit Baboon Cliff for breathtaking panoramic views of the lake.
  • Afternoon relaxation at the lodge, followed by an evening game drive.
  • Return for dinner and overnight stay inside the park.

Day 3: Lake Bogoria & Baringo Exploration

  • Early breakfast, then drive to Lake Bogoria, a geothermal wonderland famous for hot springs, geysers, and flocks of flamingos.
  • Explore the steaming geysers and witness the spectacular views of the alkaline lake.
  • Continue to Lake Baringo, where you’ll go on a boat safari to spot hippos, crocodiles, and over 470 species of birds.
  • Optional visit to a Njemps tribal village to learn about their traditional way of life.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara

  • After breakfast, drive through the scenic Rift Valley landscapes towards Maasai Mara National Reserve.
  • Arrive at the camp/lodge, check-in, and enjoy lunch.
  • Afternoon game drive, searching for lions, elephants, cheetahs, and leopards.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full-Day Maasai Mara Game Drive

  • Start the day with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators in action.
  • Breakfast at the lodge, then head out for a full-day safari, including a picnic lunch in the wild.
  • Explore the Mara River, famous for the Great Migration (seasonal) and large Nile crocodiles.
  • Optional hot air balloon safari for a breathtaking aerial view of the savannah.
  • Visit a Maasai village to experience their unique culture, dances, and traditions.
  • Return to the lodge for dinner and a bonfire storytelling session.

Day 6: Sunrise Game Drive – Return to Nairobi

  • Early morning sunrise game drive, ideal for wildlife photography.
  • Breakfast at the lodge, then depart for Nairobi, stopping at a souvenir market along the way.
  • Arrive in the afternoon, marking the end of the adventure.
